Who does the work

I'm David Gul. For more than 25 years I've built the spreadsheets and Access databases businesses run on: certified payroll reports for contractors on federal jobs, quoting and invoicing tools for the trades, sales reporting for government contractors, and the dashboards, data-entry forms and estimators that teams from one-person shops to Fortune 500 companies use every day.
That work taught me where spreadsheets break. Not in the formulas, usually, but at the edges: the day a second person needs the file, the update that changes something underneath, the person who built it moving on. Most businesses don't need to throw their spreadsheets away. Some do. The skill is telling which, and saying so honestly.
Rowhouse Systems is how I do that work. When you send a request, I read it. When you get a proposal, I wrote it. When the work is done, I did it. There is no account manager and no hand-off to a junior.
How I work
- By email. You describe the problem when it suits you, and every answer, price and decision is in writing. If you'd ever prefer a call, just ask.
- Fixed prices. You know the price before any work starts.
- The smallest step that solves it. A fix when a fix will do, an upgrade only when it pays for itself.
- You own the result. Your data, your code, and a clear way out.
